Traditional language teaching approaches often emphasize the use of a single language for communication, whereas translanguaging recognizes multilingual speakers’ ability to draw upon their entire linguistic repertoire. This article examines the role of translanguaging in facilitating cross-cultural communication. It explores how translanguaging promotes mutual understanding, cultural awareness, identity expression, and effective interaction among speakers from different cultural backgrounds.
